Exciting news! After months of reading through applications, conducting interviews -- and much to discuss after our interviews -- we have chosen our candidate for our Programming Curator and he has accepted the position.

This was not an easy decision. We had many strong candidates, each with their own set of strengths and unique talents to bring to Flurry. That said, we are pleased to introduce our new programming curator, Jonathan Greene.

Jonathan Greene is a Saratoga local. Among many other accomplishments, Jonathan is the founder JG Music. He is a professional musician and event organizer and multi-instrumentalist who performs year round at events and festivals. He is experienced in traditional jazz, swing, Celtic, calypso, Afro-pop, folk, metal, gypsy jazz, funk, ska, Shona music, rock, reggae, tango, bluegrass, bossa, tango, choros, klezmer, classical, mariachi, among others.

Jonathan came to us with vibrant, fresh energy and many ideas for the Flurry that we feel will preserve our history and boost us into some new realms of celebrating international traditional music, song, and dance.

Jonathan is starting right away and will be all hands on deck for Flurry 2018. Likely you'll see him shadowing Peter all weekend long, when he isn't on stage performing himself with The Piggly Wigglies in the Ballroom and the swing jam. Please give him a warm welcome.

We are forever grateful for the years that Peter Davis has put together our festival programming; no small job. We are excited to see what the future brings with Jonathan as part of the Flurry Family.

Tamara Flanders, Ian Hamelin, Peter Davis, Josh Snitkoff, and John Guay.
