We have become aware that some users who have logged into the Flurry website to use the ridesharing or roomsharing board have been getting password reset email requests coming from admin@flurryfestival.org.
These password reset messages are generated by automated “bots” operating from outside the USA. They are accessing our public website, asking for a password reset, entering an email address or user name for a registered user on our website, and requesting a password reset. The only information they need to do this is a user name or email address. We don’t know how they obtained your user name or email address at this time, or if they guessed it.
We are working with our host provider to block these bots, and to ensure that our website and all personal information it contains are secure,
We have no evidence that your account on our website was breached. All passwords stored on our website are secure, they are stored in a manner (hash) that cannot be decrypted.
